West Nile Virus has surfaced in Winthrop. Mosquito spraying will begin Monday. State health officials have been predicting a tough season for viruses, given the wet spring and current hot spell.
The spraying will be conducted between 10:00PM and 12:00AM. No human cases of West Nile have been reported.
Triple E was found in Middleboro last week, and caused the death of a young horse.
